Boy Scout Troop 984 is located at Dardenne Presbyterian Church in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri at the corner of Hwy. N and Winghaven Blvd/Bryan Rd. Our weekly meetings occur on Thursday nights starting at 7PM. We are a part of the Boone Trails District in the Greater St. Louis Area Council of BSA.
Troop 984 is an active Troop which was established in 2004. We have had 13 Eagle Scouts since our inception and currently have about 70 boys in the troop. Several of our Scouts have served as Campmaster at our District outings! We have at least one outing per month, which is selected and planned by the boy leadership of the Troop. Typical outings have included:
- weeklong summer camp
- high adventures, district camporees
- themed campouts to various locations
- hiking
- Greenhorn (training for new Scouts) campout
- Scouting for Food
- service projects
- more!
The troop is run by the Patrol Leader's Council (PLC) which is made up of the Senior Patrol Leader (elected by the boys) and Patrol Leaders from each Patrol (elected) along with other Troop officiers (selected by the SPL). The Scoutmaster gives advice to the SPL and PLC as they plan and execute the program.
Boy Scouting is for any boy which has completed the fifth grade (or earned the Arrow of Light Award) until they turn 18. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. For more information about Troop 984's program, please attend any Troop Meeting.
